MATSOL Massachusetts Association of Teachers of Speakers of Other Languages is a professional association representing teachers, English language learners and their families in K-12 public schools in Massachusetts. We also represent educators and English language learners in adult learning centers, higher education institutions and the workplace.
Our primary mission focuses on advocating for the educational achievement and opportunities of English language learners and the professional development of all educators who serve English language learners. Members join Special Interest Groups (SIGs) in their areas of interest.
MATSOL is a volunteer organization, so we rely on the involvement of our members for the success of our programs and initiatives. MATSOL is an affiliate of TESOL (Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages).
