Instructional Coaches SIG Anti-Racism Book Study
Online Meeting
Tuesday, July 21, 2020, 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM EDT
Category: Special Interest Groups

The Instructional Coaches Special Interest Group (SIG) is for PreK-12 educators whose responsibilities include SEI coaching, ESL coaching, and/or professional development aimed at meeting the needs of English Learners. The goal of the Instructional Coaches SIG is to facilitate collaboration of instructional coaches across Massachusetts in order to improve coaching systems and strategies that support General Education and ESL teachers in meeting the needs of English Learners. Visit the Instructional Coaches SIG page for more information.

The Instructional Coaches Steering Committee has taken the great initiative to remain active and organized over the summer. They are doing a five-part book study on Everyday Anti-Racism: Getting Real About Race in Schools by Mica Pollock. The focus of the book study will be on what actions they, as coaches and teacher leaders, can take to move our schools and districts toward being anti-racist.

This book study is only for members of the Instructional Coaches SIG, but if you are interested in starting something similar, please contact [email protected] and he will love to work with you!
