Family-School Partnership SIG Meeting 03/17/21
Online Meeting
Wednesday, March 17, 2021, 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM EDT
Category: Special Interest Groups

In an unprecedented year filled with challenges and uncertainties, how do educators measure student success? Teaching practices have gone through significant changes and student success remains relatively undefined. Now more than ever, family partnerships are critical as educators in every school district determine the extent to which students have been able to access the school's curriculum. Many students have not stepped into a school building for an entire year, yet, educators are going to have to make decisions about placement for next school year which will include retention and promotion decisions. Without input from families, how can educators be expected to make such life changing decisions? During this SIG, we will create space for educators to talk about how they will determine student success. Further, educators will discuss how family partnerships will play a key role in measuring success.

The Family-School Partnership brings together educators working with linguistically and culturally diverse families. The group will share information and resources, collaborate, and work together to address emerging issues affecting families in our schools. Visit the Family-School Partnership SIG page.

This meeting will take place online via ZOOM Meeting and is free to MATSOL members.
