MATSOL is a approved as a PD provider by MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

MATSOL courses are offered to school districts and to individuals through open registration.

SEI Endorsement

Individuals who need or want to earn the SEI endorsement may pay to enroll in SEI Endorsement courses through MATSOL, a provider approved by Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. These for-cost courses cover the exact same curriculum as the Department's no-cost courses, are taught by instructors who have been vetted and trained by the Department, and are an approved pathway to SEI Endorsement for:

  • Any educator seeking SEI Endorsement after 2016
  • Non-core educators (art, music, world language, P.E., etc.)
  • Individuals who failed their Endorsement course the first time around
  • Educators who, for personal reasons, did not avail themselves of no-cost courses when they were available
  • Parochial and private school educators

Extending the Learning

The following SEI-related courses have been developed by MATSOL, and reviewed and approved by the ESE Office of English Language Acquisition and Academic Achievement. Successful completion of these offerings will earn the participating educator PDPs for recertification. See the ESE website for details about this requirement.
