MATSOL Currents and the MATSOL E-Bulletin are both available to MATSOL members as part of their membership benefits.

MATSOL Currents

MATSOL Currents is the official newsletter of the Massachusetts Association of Teachers of Speakers of Other Languages. The primary readers of the Newsletter are members of the organization, many of whom are ELL and bilingual education professionals, and advocates for ELLs, immigrants and refugees. The Newsletter may also be read by some prospective members, and organizational partners.

Please Note: In order to maintain the integrity of the publication, all submissions are reviewed through a double blind review submission process for quality control by the editorial staff. Submissions may be accepted without revision, may be returned with requested edits, or may be declined pending substantive revision. No manuscript is guaranteed publication, even if it is commissioned.

The MATSOL E-Bulletin is a monthly electronic bulletin sent to our members containing short notices of upcoming events, recent research findings and news relating to ELL/ESOL education in Massachusetts. It also includes links to online resources useful to teachers.

Members and the public can submit items for consideration to be included in the MATSOL E-Bulletin.

Submission Guidelines

- Post an item for submission on the MATSOL Bulletin Board. Click here to go to the Bulletin Board. Click the "New Thread" button to post.

- Submit your notice in plain text format and of no more than one paragraph in length.

- Include URL links, not embedded links.

MATSOL does not guarantee publication of submissions, and reserves the right to edit for length and clarity.
