2020 MATSOL Conference Cancelled

It is with great regret that we announce cancellation of the 2020 MATSOL Conference, originally scheduled for May 26-29, 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are disappointed that we will not be able to hold the conference, but it is clear that this is the best decision for the health and safety of all our members.

MATSOL is beginning the process of refunding all paid conference registration fees. We will contact you in the upcoming week with details. We appreciate your patience as our small staff works on processing the refunds, but If you have any questions about your registration, write to [email protected]

MATSOL is committed to providing our members with opportunities for rich professional learning and exchange of ideas. We hope that you can join us for these upcoming online events, all of which are free for current MATSOL members:

  • MATSOL Virtual Conference with selected sessions from our 2020 conference presented live, which will also be available in a recorded archive if you can’t join the live session. We will post a schedule and program information soon!
  • Weekly online MATSOL Open House on Wednesdays at 3:00 pm, a place for you to connect, share ideas, and get support during this difficult time. Members should look for an email with the meeting link.
  • MATSOL Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings where members can connect around specific interest areas. See the MATSOL calendar for meeting schedules

We are also planning an in-person professional development event for the fall of 2020 and finalizing the dates for the 2021 conference next spring. Look for more information soon.

Members have asked us how they can support MATSOL. The best way is to renew and maintain your MATSOL membership. Your membership dues help support important programs that benefit our members, their students, and the field.  Your participation in our online meetings and member groups is also an important source of support for our MATSOL community. Together, we can help each other through this crisis.

Sincerely,

Melissa Latham Keh, President
Helen Solorzano, Executive Director
