Members of the MATSOL PD Team are all highly qualified and experienced instructors who have been educators of English learners in Massachusetts public schools. SEI Endorsement instructors are all approved by Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

SEI Endorsement

For educators needing Massachusetts Sheltered English Immersion (SEI) Endorsement. 

Summer 2018: Per ESE policy, SEI Endorsement Courses are only offered during the school year because participants must have access to a classroom to implement or observe the SEI strategies during the course. 

Fall 2018-19: If you are interested in a course for Fall 2018 or Spring 2019, please complete this form to receive notification when registration opens.

MATSOL courses have been developed by expert educators, grounded in their experience teaching in Massachusetts schools, and informed by feedback from educators and school districts across the Commonwealth.


Extending the Learning courses have been developed by MATSOL, and reviewed and approved by the ESE Office of English Language Acquisition and Academic Achievement. Successful completion of these offerings will earn the participating educator PDPs for recertification. See the ESE website for details about this requirement.
