Instructional Coaches SIG

The Instructional Coaches Special Interest Group (SIG) is for PreK-12 educators whose responsibilities include SEI coaching, ESL coaching, and/or professional development aimed at meeting the needs of English Learners.

The goal of the Instructional Coaches SIG is to facilitate collaboration of instructional coaches across Massachusetts in order to improve coaching systems and strategies that support General Education and ESL teachers in meeting the needs of English Learners.

Some of our activities include:

  • Sharing resources such as observation forms, meeting protocols, and coaching templates.
  • Exploring topics such as effective coaching cycles, building trusting relationships, defining and managing coaching responsibilities, etc.
