Emerging Scholars Circle SIG

Emerging Scholars Circle SIG is for international and domestic undergraduate and graduate students interested in social justice-oriented research centered around equity, diversity, inclusion and empowerment. The Emerging Scholars Circle SIG is a bridging space for these students who are engaged in scholarly research and undergraduate/graduate school coursework.

The goal of the Emerging Scholars Circle is to facilitate the scholarly collaboration of students who maintain a teaching-research/research-teaching nexus and develop closer linkages between research and teaching. The SIG invites emerging innovative and vibrant student scholars who wish to advance the quality of scholarly research and teaching. Some of our activities include:

  • Presentations from group members: studies in progress and completed studies
  • Sharing publication opportunities such as a call for arcticle/book chapter proposals and special issues
  • Sharing scholarly research resources for research design & data management
