The Board of Elementary and Secondary Education will interview finalists for the Commissioner of Education on Friday, Jan 26, with a vote taking place Monday, Feb 29.
The interviews are open the the public and can be viewed in person at the Omni Parker House in Boston or via livestream (recordings of BOE livestreams are also available on this page for later viewing): https://livestream.com/accounts/22459134
Schedule:
PART 1: 9:15-11:15 a.m.: Interview with Penny Schwinn, chief deputy commissioner of academics at the Texas Education Agency (Question about the LOOK Act at 1:35:30 in the recording)
PART 2: 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.: Interview with Angélica Infante-Green, deputy commissioner of the Office of Instructional Support P-12 in the New York State Education Department
PART 3: 2:30-4:30 p.m.: Interview with Jeffrey C. Riley, superintendent/receiver of the Lawrence Public Schools
